NO I HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE YET AND DON'T YOU DARE SPOIL IT FOR ME!
With that said:
I am greatly distraught at this most recent shooting. My heart goes out to those families. And oddly enough, I am not only saddened, disgusted, and enraged at the deaths but also saddened that these dedicated fans that have waited so long to see this movie never will have the chance to.
Also, I'm quite honestly annoyed at the amount of people who BLAME Christopher Nolan's Batman movies... Anyone crazy and messed up as that could be as likely swayed by one source of inspiration or another. May I point out the shooting in Norway? Evil will not come from just one source, it will come from anything that is convenient. If Nolan's films didn't exist, I'm quite sure this shooter would have found another inspiration. Yes, he called himself the Joker, but Breivik considered himself a defender of Christian culture.
*Please note: I am a Christian, just making a point though that any excuse can be used.

I don't react well when guys challenge my interest in geek culture and assume I'm only into it because it's all the rage right now (I've got this several times at school*). The reason for being interested in geek culture shouldn't even matter anyways. Frankly, I would be thrilled if the opposite gender population suddenly became interested in my favorite media or fandom. Isn't that every nerd's dream? Hiatus will hopefully be done with in a week or so. Just gotta get past midterms.

STILL on Hiatus
I am on every once in a while to comment and check my feed, I am NOT however returned from hiatus.
This past week has resulted in tests, new job, a death of a mentor, and the death of a close family member. I am tired, exhausted and mourning. Hell, I didn't even have to time to actually mourn until 36 hours after the death of my family member and I most certainly don't have time to post anything.
If this comes across as cranky, I am a bit cranky but I don't want to be cranky towards you so for that I am sorry.
I'm off to go veg out with my dvd of the Avengers.

Won tickets from a radio station to meet STAN LEE. STAN EFFING LEE.
They called me to let me know the meet and greet was for tonight.
Back in june I bought my dad tickets to see Brian Setzer Orchestra for his fathers day present.
That concert is ALSO tonight.
Congrats, Brian Setzer. I hope you realize what I gave up to come see you.
...Not sure how my dad will feel because I was planning on bringing him with me to meet Stan Lee... Probably should've asked him before I gave up the tickets. Oh well...
